This was submitted from an MOAC parent...

My wife and I realize this forum was set up to acknowledge some of the fine athletes in the MOAC. But, we feel, acknowledgments are in order to some of the fine coaches in the league. These people are directly responsible for the great athletes the MOAC produces. These coaches and their teams have many common traits, they compete hard, they love kids, they show respect to rival teams and they have fun. During our daughter's last four varsity years at Highland, these MOAC coaches have made the contests with their schools fun. She looks forward to competing against their teams. Win or lose, these coaches find time to talk with her before,

during or after the game. They truthfully are interested in her as a person and respect her as an athlete. These coaches deserve our thanks, for making the MOAC a fun place to play sports. Thank you: Carol Evans- Buckeye Valley(softball), Sherril Appelfeller- Elgin (volleyball), Dawn Draper- North Union(volleyball/softball), Tony Rose- North Union (basketball), Shayne Yeater- Northmor (softball), Barry Dutt- Cardington (basketball/softball) and Jayne Klingel- River Valley (volleyball).

Got a story about one of our athletes?  Let us hear it...
